Vijay Verma is struggling with this disease
Recently, during a web series promotion, Vijay Verma revealed that he is suffering from Vitiligo disease, due to which white spots appear on his face and to hide them he has to resort to makeup.
Vitiligo i.e. the problem of white spots is a rare disease, due to which pigmentation in any part of the body starts losing the original color of the skin and white patches start forming. According to the doctor, in vitiligo, the cells that reduce the production of melanin in the body gradually start dying, due to which white spots appear on the skin.
Ways to avoid vitiligo
There is no exact cure for vitiligo yet, whatever treatment exists only stops it from spreading. When initial symptoms of vitiligo are seen, efforts are made to cure it through medicines and creams. For this, laser therapy is also used.
Apart from this, when this spread in a person’s body stops completely, then narrow band therapy can also be given. Apart from this, through UVB light in excimer laser, the original color can be brought back by increasing the production of melanin in the skin, this can prevent the spread of white spots.
